Orig Media had an exercise on editing and creativity last week in which team members had one hour to edit a piece together.
The footage we used was from a rain shoot we filmed earlier last week. The audio is from an interview with the infamous martial artist, Bruce Lee. Sound effects are from Apple Loops for SoundtrackPro and Final Cut X.
This is team member Larissa’s finished edit.
“I mainly wanted to focus on the pauses and breaths, as though our character is seriously contemplating what form he will take. I liked the idea of all these shots taking place in seconds rather than the long stretches of time. Kinda like when you have to make an important decision. It sometimes feels like ages to make a choice as you weigh the options in that moment.”
